Job summary

The Learning Experience - Billerica is hiring a Floater Teacher to support our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. You will provide coverage across age groups, assisting Lead Teachers with daily activities and helping maintain a positive learning environment.

We seek a dependable, caring educator who enjoys teamwork and flexibility, with a focus on safe, engaging learning experiences for young children. This full-time role offers opportunities for advancement and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must meet applicable Massachusetts EEC qualifications for assigned classroom duties.
• Previous professional childcare, daycare, or early childhood education experience preferred.
• EEC Teacher or Lead Teacher certification preferred.
• Comfortable working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
• Flexible, dependable, patient, and comfortable working as part of a team.
• Strong communication and classroom support skills.
• Must meet applicable background screening and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage and teaching support across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms.
• Assist Lead Teachers with daily learning activities and routines.
• Support The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum through age-appropriate activities.
• Engage children through stories, music, art, movement, sensory play, and hands-on learning.
• Help with feeding, diapering, toilet training, meals, rest time, and classroom transitions as appropriate.
• Maintain consistent routines and use positive behavior guidance.
• Supervise children and maintain safe, nurturing classroom environments.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers.
• Help maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and supplies.
• Follow Massachusetts EEC licensing, health, and safety requirements.
