Job summary

The Learning Experience - Jenison, MI is seeking an experienced and flexible Floater Teacher who enjoys variety and can work across Infant, Toddler, 2-year-old, and Preschool classrooms. This role provides coverage and support wherever it's needed most.

You will adapt to routines and developmental stages, assist with learning activities, meals, rest time, and outdoor play, while building positive relationships with children, families, and the teaching team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
• Comfortable working with all age groups, including infants.
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage across Infant, Toddler, 2-year-old, and Preschool classrooms.
• Adapt to different classroom routines, teaching teams, and developmental stages.
• Support learning activities, transitions, meals, rest time, and outdoor play.
• Engage children through art, music, movement, sensory play, stories, and hands-on activities.
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance.
• Help maintain classroom ratios and provide teacher breaks as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classrooms.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.

Floater Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Pay: $17-$20 per hour, based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-6:00 PM or 9:30 AM-6:30 PM

The Learning Experience - Jenison is seeking an experienced and flexible Floater Teacher who enjoys variety and is confident working with children across multiple age groups.

As a Floater Teacher, you'll be an important part of our teaching team, providing classroom coverage and support wherever it's needed most. The ideal candidate can comfortably transition between Infant, Toddler, 2-year-old, and Preschool classrooms while adapting to the routines and developmental needs of each age group.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage across Infant, Toddler, 2-year-old, and Preschool classrooms
• Adapt to different classroom routines, teaching teams, and developmental stages
• Support learning activities, transitions, meals, rest time, and outdoor play
• Engage children through art, music, movement, sensory play, stories, and hands-on activities
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
• Assist with feeding, diapering, and care routines in younger classrooms
• Help maintain classroom ratios and provide teacher breaks as needed
• Maintain clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroomsBuild positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous professional daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood experience strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable working with all age groups, including infants
• Ability to adapt quickly and confidently between classrooms
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
• Dependable, flexible, energetic, and team-oriented
• Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
