Job summary

Gates Hudson is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Floater to support day-to-day maintenance across one of our residential communities. You will perform preventive, routine, and urgent repairs to keep apartments, buildings, and common areas safe and functional.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of residential maintenance experience, are safety-minded, dependable, and able to work independently or with a team. On-call rotation may be required; transportation needed.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of maintenance experience, preferably in residential property management.
• Ability to perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and general maintenance.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on apartments, buildings, and common areas.
• Complete service requests promptly and efficiently.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and related systems.
• Perform unit turnovers and prepare apartments for new residents.
• Maintain organized stock rooms, tools, and maintenance areas.
• Track inventory and report shortages; follow key control and documentation procedures.
