Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a floater/front desk associate in Missouri. The role requires flexibility to work any shift, with duties across front desk operations, safety compliance and guest services. You will support Building Manager teams, respond to emergencies, and uphold service standards.

The position is part-time, non-exempt, with 20–30 hours weekly and benefits options for part-time staff. Must have reliable transportation and strong customer service skills.

Job Overview:

This Job Description/Duties Summary is general in nature and may be changed, added to or reduced from time to time as needed. This position requires adaptability to different situations and the hours may change in the future. Must possess strong leadership, communication and time management skills. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task. Responsible for quality, consistency and overall customer service presentation to residents and guests. Maintains excellent knowledge of emergency response and access control procedures, electronic security control systems, logs, records and forms of each building in span of control.

Your Responsibilities:

Floater position, must be available to work any shift
  • Assists in vacation, sick time, leave of absence, and last-minute shift assistance coverage.
  • Adheres to company policy in all assigned Properties.
  • Needs to have reliable form of transportation and communication.
  • While on duty must be in Company approved attire and/or uniform, and follow the Company dress code policy.
  • When on assignment, needs to maintain and treat their work areas in a neat and safe manner. All safety procedures must be adhered to at all times. Any safety issues must be brought to the attention of the Property Manager immediately.
  • Responsible for checking the fire alarm panel to ensure that it is in normal status. Reports any indicated troubles in writing to the Property Manager immediately.
  • Works according to given schedule from Building Manager/Front Desk Coordinator, with close supervision.
  • Responds to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner within two hours of notification.
  • Reports all complaints/issues to Building Manager/Front Desk Coordinator.
  • On call 24/7 for emergencies and call outs assigned by Director of Front Desk Operations/Front Desk Coordinator. This includes, but is not limited to weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
  • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
  • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
  • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Command of information system hardware/software is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Standing or sitting at a desk for extended periods of time
  • Working at a computer throughout the day (keyboard and mouse use)
  • Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.

What We Offer:

Part-time, non-exempt associates working 20-30 hours per week, will be eligible for part-time benefits to include your choice of dental, vision, and more. Part-time associates are not eligible for time off benefits, paid holidays and a 401k with company match.

Travel:

Must possess a valid driver's license and the minimum essential coverage insurance for Missouri and must not have a record of a revoked or suspended license as determined upon review of the motor vehicle driving report or record in accordance with applicable law.

Compensation:

$21.00 per hour
