Job summary

Grede in New Castle, IN is seeking a team member for a 2nd shift role (1:30pm - 10pm) performing various clean room functions. Starting pay is $19 - $20 hourly, depending on experience.

You will work to maintain safety and quality, following established procedures to minimize delays and maximize production. Responsibilities include assisting with daily production tasks, maintaining housekeeping around the mill, organizing parts, tooling changes, and obtaining required licenses such as aerial

• Position involves clean room tasks and adherence to safety procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime/weekends as needed.

• Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail.
• Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures.
• Strictly adhere to all lockout/tagout policies and procedures
• Assist with 5-S in the department
• Assist the clean helper with daily production tasks. Cover breaks.
• Maintain housekeeping around each mill.
• Assist with proper identification, storage, and organization of all parts, including partials
• Assist production with tooling changes.
• Maintain and repair air tools.
• Maintain the outside of the department by organizing skids and dividers. Dispose of bad skids and dividers.
• Dump and remove trash from all trash cans daily.
• Obtain aerial lift and Bobcat license to assist with department cleaning.

Starting Pay is $19 - $20 hourly, depending on experience.

In this role, you will perform and assist with various Clean Room functions. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production.

Additional

• Secure proper tools for each task.
• May need to vary breaks if something needs to be done while a grinder is on break
• Communicate suggestions and recommend solutions to problems to provide for an efficient operation
• Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member
• Job may require consistent heavy lifting – up to 50 pounds
  Job may require daily overtime and/or weekend work as operational needs dictate
• Perform other assignments as may be requested
