Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Float/Flex Team at St. Luke’s Health–Brazosport Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX. The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and compassionate, patient-first care in a fast-paced environment. Texas licensure and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing and at least 1 year of RN experience.
• Registered Nurse: TX licensure upon hire and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to deliver cost-effective, quality patient care.
• Perform ongoing assessment, diagnose, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Document in patient records per hospital standards to ensure quality and legal compliance.
• Provide patient and family education on pain, nutrition, skin care, fall prevention, and discharge instructions.
