Job summary

Always Compassionate Health seeks a registered nurse to provide one-on-one care for students and drive across Long Island to support homes and schools. The role involves collaborating with families and schools to deliver safe nursing care per care plans and physician orders.

The ideal candidate has pediatric home-care experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to adapt to changing assignments, with full-time employment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a clinical setting.
• At least 1 year of pediatric RN experience, preferably in a home care or private duty setting.
• Competency with G-tubes, feeding tubes, Trach, Vent, seizure management, diabetes care, and cardiac conditions.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments.

Responsibilities

• Float between assigned schools and/or patients based on company needs.
• Must be willing to drive anywhere on Long Island (e.g., New Hyde Park to Miller Place).
• Provide one-on-one nursing care for individual students as required.
• Support school-sponsored activities, including field trips and organized school event days.
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans, physician orders, and school policies.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and shadowing of RNs requesting first-visit support.
• Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with families, schools, and internal teams.
• Uphold all safety, compliance, and professional standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs.
