Marklund is seeking a dedicated Float School Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our teams across Bloomingdale, Elgin and Geneva campuses. This full-time role offers daytime hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, four days a week, with competitive pay ranging from $29.25–$34 for LPN and $31.25–$36 for RN, based on qualifications and experience.

The School Nurse coordinates health services, administers medications, and supports students with profound disabilities to ensure safe, inclusive learning.

Formación

• RN or LPN with Illinois licensure and current status.
• BSN preferred for RN pathway.
• BLS CPR certification required.

Marklund is seeking highly motivated and mission-centered individualfor the position of School Nurse (RN or LPN). TheSchool Nurse addresses the health needs of students and coordinateswith staff, families, healthcare providers, and community agencies toprovide a comprehensive school health program that facilitates theappropriate educational opportunity for students. The School Nursewill float between our Elgin, Geneva, and Bloomingdale campuses.Hoursfor this position are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 4 days a week. The hourlyrate range is $29.25- $34/hr for LPN, and $31.25 - $36/hr for RNbasedon qualifications and experience.

Who We Are:

Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential,educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens andadults with serious and profound developmental disabilities andspecial healthcare needs. With three residential locations – theMarklund Hyde Center in Geneva, the Marklund Philip Center inBloomingdale, and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it iscurrently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day Schooloffers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and youngadults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autismspectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at eachsite is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklundand those who come in from the community.

About Our School:

With a recently opened 12,000-square-foot state-of-the-art buildingaddition in Bloomingdale, Marklund’s Day School is hiring dedicatedand caring Paraprofessionals to work with students within its LifeSkills/Autism and multi-needs programs. Marklund Day School is awell-known and respected nonpublic school serving students ages PreK-22 who come to our school’s program through partnerships withvarious Chicago suburban school districts. Marklund Day schoolprovides an environment conducive to learning through specializedcurriculum, positive behavioral interventions, and individualizedstudent support. Our highly sensory-driven program features physicaland occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, art and musictherapy, Snoezelen therapy, computer adapted technology, communityprograms and opportunities, recreational therapy, aquatic therapy and more.

Job Responsibilities:

Experience and Skills

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (BSN), current on the Illinois Health CareWorker Registry

Possess current BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers

IDPH certified to perform annual vision screening preferred

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and tomeet its functional and environmental requirements
