Job summary

Marklund Day School in Elgin, IL is seeking a dedicated Multi-Needs Paraprofessional for a year-round day school. Hours are 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday, with starting pay of $17.25 per hour (without a Bachelor's) or $19.25 per hour (with a Bachelor's).

The role involves assisting teachers, providing direct student care, and supporting students age 3–21 with developmental, medical, and physical disabilities.

Qualifications

• Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license required; can be obtained after hire; $500 bonus for obtaining license.
• Must meet essential functions and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classwork and daily care of students with special needs.
• Provide direct care and attend in-services and educational functions.
• Maintain clean classroom equipment and safe physical environment for students.
• Document daily participation and progress per task and IEPs.
• Work with students one-on-one and in groups as outlined in IEPs.

We are seeking exceptional Multi-NeedsParaprofessionalfor ouryear-rounddayschoollocated in Elgin, IL. Hours are 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday - Friday.

The starting rate is $17.25/hr (with no Bachelor's degree) and$19.25/hr (with a Bachelor's degree).

About our school:

Marklund Day School is a non-public state-certified school thatpartners with area school districts to provide a highly specializededucation experience. The therapeutic, sensory-driven Multi-NeedsProgram serves individuals ages 3 through 21 with medical,developmental, and physical disabilities.

Summary of Duties:

• Assist teachers with classwork and the daily care of students withspecial needs.
• Provide direct care, attend In-services and other educationalfunctions as required.
• Keeps equipment in classroom in clean condition and provides safephysical environments for all students.
• Documents all goals/program which includes the daily participationrecords after completion of a task with a student.
• Works directly with the students one-on-one and in groups outlinedin the IEP's.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications:

• Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license is required. It can beobtained after being hired within 30 days, and we will offer a $500bonus for getting it. To obtain license candidates must have atleast a high school diploma or GED.
