Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Float Rotor Wing Pilot in Command to provide life-saving air transport across regional bases. You will serve as PIC and travel between bases, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care. The role supports staffing continuity and operational reliability across the region.

Qualifications

• FAA certifications required: Commercial Pilot with Instrument rating or ATP; appropriate category and class ratings.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).

Responsibilities

• Provides pilot coverage at multiple bases as needs require.
• Adapts to varying crews, base operations, aircraft configurations, and environments.
• Maintains relationships with clinical teams, maintenance, and leaders across locations.
• Fills open shifts to support staffing continuity and regional coverage.
• Travels and transitions between regional bases to meet flight needs.
• Operates aircraft following FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plans and conducts flights considering weather, weight and balance, and fuel.
• Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for mission execution.
• Responds to emergency callouts and remains ready at all times.
• Keeps accurate flight and maintenance logs per company and FAA.
• Represents the company professionally when engaging with patients and the public.
