Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Float Air Ambulance Pilot to join our Life Flight operations. You will safely operate helicopters across multiple bases, ensuring patient care and crew safety while adhering to FAA rules and company policies.

Based across the region with a 7-on/7-off schedule, you will support critical emergency medical transport with travel to Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and Denver metro areas. Intermountain offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or ATP.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
• 2,000 hours total flight time in helicopter or CAMTS equivalency.
• 100 hours cross-country flight; 25 hours at night.
• 75 instrument hours (actual or simulated).
• 100 hours unaided night flight time.
• Pass a 135.293 check ride within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate aircraft following FAA regs, manufacturer guidance and Intermountain policies.
• Demonstrate independent preflight planning and sound flight operations.
• Maintain knowledge of aviation regulations, policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members, medical staff and families.
• Ensure aircraft cleanliness and a safe environment for crew and patients.
• Act as Lead Pilot for satellite base functions and corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in flight reviews, training programs and safety initiatives.
