Job summary

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest is looking for a Float RN for 16 hours/week at various locations including Oakland and San Jose. Responsibilities involve patient triage, preparation for in-clinic abortion services, and providing comprehensive care in reproductive health.

The ideal candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, possess a current CA State RN license, and have strong communication skills. Flexibility and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform nursing duties including triage and patient education.
• Current experience using computer and mouse; willing to learn new computer skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and locations.

Responsibilities

• Travels to PPMM locations as needed.
• Oversees patient triage and flow in the clinic.
• Prepares recovery room for in-clinic abortion services.
• Provides advice and scheduling for reproductive health and primary care patients.

Skills

Ability to assess post-operative patients

Ability to provide patient education

Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program

Current CA State RN license
