Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking an ASC Registered Nurse (Pre-Op / PACU) to float between North and South surgery centers in Austin, TX. The role emphasizes high-quality perioperative nursing using the nursing process and center policies.

Ideal candidates hold Texas RN licensure with at least two years of RN experience; ASC experience is preferred. Strong assessment, documentation, and teamwork are essential; travel between centers is required with additional compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two (2) or more years RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing practices and duties as assigned.
• Prepare patient care area with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Perform head-to-toe assessment upon PACU arrival.
• Monitor vitals, airway, LOC, temperature, and cardiac status.
• Incorporate IV catheter techniques and care.
• Provide clear discharge instructions to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation in EMR.
• Collaborate with surgical team to implement the plan of care.
