Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing actions using purposeful, organized thinking for clinical judgment/decisions.
• Gather data through history and physical assessment to plan and implement interventions.
• Develop, evaluate and revise patient plans of care based on needs.
• Document care provided and patient progress toward outcomes.
• Direct and supervise others in delegated nursing activities.
• Teach patients and caregivers about the plan of care.
• Prepare patients to manage care after discharge or procedures.
• Manage time and resources to deliver patient care.
• Administer medications to patients.
• Provide direct patient care and lead the care team.
• Serve as a resource person on the shift and as a preceptor for new staff.
