Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool on a full-time Days schedule in Los Angeles. The RN will float across units to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using the Watson Model and participate in discharge planning.

The role requires a California RN license, 12 months of nursing experience, and basic EKG competence. BLS/ACLS are encouraged, with Spanish language skills preferred for better patient

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of clinical nursing experience.
• Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Current California Nursing license required.
• Basic EKG competence.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float as needed across Medical-Surgical Telemetry units, ED, ICU or PACU.
• Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Document care using IPOC and Watson Model of Care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and team.
• Provide age-specific patient and family education and support.
• Coordinate discharge planning with Care Managers.
