Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health's Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, NJ, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care across Med/Surg/Tele units. You will collect data, perform assessments, administer medications, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to support safe transitions of care.

Candidates must hold an NJ RN license and BLS/CPR certification, with at least 1 year of Med/Surg/Tele RN experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• An active BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg/Tele RN experience is required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Performs age- and disease-specific assessments and data collection.
• Recognizes clinical status changes and responds appropriately.
• Develops and coordinates a patient-centered plan of care.
• Delivers nursing care and coordinates with the health care team.
• Provides patient/family education and ensures understanding.
• Documents care in the electronic medical record in real time.
• Administers medications safely using bar-scanning and related systems.
• Supports safe transitions and discharge planning with the team.
