Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking a Float Medical-Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse to coordinate patient care and collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes assessments, care planning, medication administration, and family education.

The Float RN will provide care across unit boundaries, round on patients to support satisfaction, and apply nursing processes to meet diverse patient needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient rounding to maximize satisfaction and quality standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development, assessment and care per patient age group.
• Promote customer service initiatives in care delivery.
• Utilize nursing process for individualized patient care.
• Perform technical skills and procedures as required.
