Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee seeks a Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate patient care. You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver physical and psychological support to patients and families, including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and documentation.

The role emphasizes rounding to maximize patient satisfaction and quality, applying the nursing process to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• You will be performing patient rounding in an effort to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.
• You will promote customer service initiatives.
• You are given the opportunity to utilize nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
• In this role you will demonstrate your ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
