Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Hospital Float Team in San Antonio, TX. This role emphasizes collaboration with the patient care team to deliver safe, high-quality nursing care across units and initiatives that advance patient outcomes.

The RN will apply critical thinking, leadership, and nursing processes, maintaining professional communication and engagement in organizational activities, while adapting to unit needs and promoting the nursing profession.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Minimum of two years RN experience with at least one year in a specialty area for float.
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State license; must obtain Texas license within 60 days of hire.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process with critical thinking to independently deliver safe nursing care.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• Provide professional communication and engagement in unit and organizational activities.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and act as a resource to the patient care team.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality nursing care and promote a positive nursing image.
