Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join the Float Staffing team covering ICU, ED and Med/Surg units. This full-time role offers nights or days with flexible shifts to fit unit needs.

Provide direct care, coordinate multidisciplinary plans, implement and monitor patient care plans, and carry out physician orders. A Diploma in Nursing and Alabama RN licensure are required; BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• BLS within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date is required.
• Licensed RN credentialed with Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire date is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies and protocols.
• Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with the healthcare team.
