Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for a full-time role at UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair, with both day and night shift options.

Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team, and implementing care plans in a fast-paced hospital setting. Requirements include a diploma in nursing, active Alabama RN licensure, and BLS within 1 month of hire. Prior nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or transfer date required.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required. One year of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment according to established policies and procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as a coordinator of disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with the healthcare team.
