Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Float RN to provide direct patient care across 65+ inpatient units at a leading academic medical center.

The role offers a full-time, 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) with a $15/hour float differential and additional shift differentials. Nurses may float to higher-acuity areas, with strong opportunities for learning, growth, and career advancement within BJC.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• 2 years of recent acute care Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a variety of clinical settings.
• Preferred ICU/Critical Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on illness, home care needs, and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals and ensures communication across the continuum of care.
