Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current KY RN license.
• 1–3 years RN experience in acute care; CC/Telemetry experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR required; ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within specified timelines.

• Conducts care assessments and interprets assessment data to determine care needs and constraints in meeting these needs.
• Successfully completes system-based and hospital specific competencies.
• Maintains accurate documentation of observations, treatments, teaching, medications, care given, patient response, and integrates into plan of care.
• In collaboration with patients and families (as defined by the patient) the Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing and administering care to the patient. Implements plan of care based upon established standards of care/practice, policies, and procedures, incorporating cultural, religious, psychosocial, physical, and age-related issues.
• Possesses knowledge of medications, and administers safely and accurately.
• Appropriately delegates and supervises routine technical functions to non-licensed and licensed personnel.

Required

• Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing and 1-3 years Minimum two years of experience as an RN in an acute care facility, upon hire and
• 1-3 years For Critical Care areas, two years of Critical Care experience, upon hire and
• 1-3 years For Telemetry areas, one year of Telemetry, upon hire and
• Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days and
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months and
• Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months and

Preferred

• Bachelors Of Science Nursing and 1-3 years For Telemetry areas, two years of Telemetry, upon hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire
