Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Float/Flex Team. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform critical assessments, and implement patient care plans within an interdisciplinary team to support optimal outcomes.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, TN RN license at hire, BLS; ACLS within 6 months. The role emphasizes rapid decision-making in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to patient advocacy and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic monitoring and detect acute changes.
  • Administer IV therapies and medications per patients’ rights.
  • Prevent falls and skin breakdown by following safety policies.
  • Manage rapidly changing situations and anticipate needs.
  • Support healing environment and advocate for patients.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Float/Flex Team, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery while presenting a positive attitude and being reliable,

  • Diagnostic and patient monitoring (detection and recognition of acute changes and escalation or concerns/critical results).
  • Administration and monitoring therapeutic interventions and regimens (starting/maintaining intravenous therapies, administering medication per patients’ rights, preventing falls and skin breakdown and following policies in relation to safety measures).
  • Effective management of rapidly changing situations (identifying, assessing and anticipating needs).
  • Organization and work rule competencies (prioritizing, coordination and meeting multiple patient needs in a timely manner).
  • Helping Role (consistently contribute to a healing environment, providing patient comfort and support for human dignity, serving as a patient advocate and building and maintaining a therapeutic environment.
  • Teaching-Coaching Function (assess and evaluates the patient’s readiness and ability to learn, effectively explains a patient’s condition and their interpretation of his or her illness.
