Job summary

Lucas Therapies, a H2 Health company, seeks a Float Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support outpatient clinics across the Roanoke region. You’ll work with diverse patient populations, traveling between locations while delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Virginia PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel between clinic locations.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Treat orthopedic, post-operative, musculoskeletal, balance, vestibular, and mobility-related conditions.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
• Accurately document patient progress and communicate updates with the clinical team.
• Travel between assigned clinic locations throughout the Roanoke region as needed.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and support staff to support strong patient outcomes.
