Job summary

The Coatesville VA Medical Center within NBSTSA is seeking a physician to provide primary care across the main campus and community clinics. You will work on a Patient Aligned Care Team and may join the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation program as needed.

You will diagnose, treat, and manage a diverse patient panel, order tests, follow modern guidelines, and document thoroughly in the electronic medical record. Some evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have MD or DO from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Residency in approved core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• Board eligible or board certified in Family or Internal Medicine; women’s health/geriatrics experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care within the Primary Care Service on the assigned teams.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage a patient panel with comprehensive primary care.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and follow guidelines.
• Engage Veterans in shared decision making and document encounters in EMR.
• Occasional travel between Coatesville VAMC and clinics; participate in after-hours MOD when scheduled.
