Job summary

The Float Pool RN at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital delivers professional, coordinated nursing care within Med/Surg and Telemetry units, on a fixed site. You’ll contribute to safe, high-quality care and support across shifts in a stable, single-hospital team environment.

Ideal candidates are RNs licensed in PA with at least one year of experience or those entering via the NLRN pathway. BSN is preferred; BLS and ACLS requirements vary by unit.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• BSN preferred; ACLS may be required depending on unit.
• BLS certification required; ACLS unit dependent.
• Minimum one year of RN experience or transition from NLRN program.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an acute care setting.
• Coordinate and update the patient’s plan of care.
• Advocate for patient rights, safety and quality of care.
• Foster learning and support other team members.
