Job summary

Mercy Ada is seeking a compassionate Facility Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care across multiple units while supporting staffing needs. The role involves bedside rounding, coordination with care teams, and delivering patient-centered care on a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Current RN license in Oklahoma or eligibility for licensure.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care using the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Float to various inpatient departments based on patient care and staffing needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, care teams, patients, and families to coordinate quality care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established policies and standards.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Promote patient safety through infection prevention, medication safety, patient identification, and fall prevention practices.
• Participate in bedside rounding and support a positive patient experience.
