Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis seeks an experienced Clinical Nurse Float Pool RN to provide high-quality care across 65+ inpatient units.

This full-time 12-hour day shift role supports a premier academic medical center and offers opportunities to expand clinical expertise. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years acute Med-Surg experience, ICU experience preferred, strong judgment, and the ability to work independently in varied settings.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in MO.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Med-Surgical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a variety of clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care across multiple inpatient units.
• Educates patients and families on care plans and home care needs.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements and documents care plans with the interprofessional team.
• Communicates plan of care across the continuum of care.
