Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, California, seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse for ICU/PCU/ED coverage. The role supports facility staffing, rotates among ICU/PCU/ED as needed, and reports to the house supervisor.

You will perform initial assessments, deliver ICU/PCU/ED level care, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team. California RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, NIHSS within 3 months, and 2 years ICU experience are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Exhibits flexibility by rotating within the ICU/PCU/ED units as competent
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area (BSP), circumference and volume
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Minimum Of Two (2) Years’ ICU Experience Required
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program
• BSN preferred
• Registered Nurse with current California RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS & PALs certifications (AHA) required
• NIHSS required within 3 months of hire
• CCRN encouraged

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment and documents appropriately for the level of care appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age development level, and cultural and religious orientation in a timely manner
• Performs ICU/PCU/ED standard level of care, completely and accurately including, but not limited to, physical, psychological, social and other patient needs
• Exhibits flexibility by rotating within ICU/PCU/ED units as competent
• Demonstrates effective communication with patients, families, and team members
