Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital in Walterboro, SC is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to support multiple units with flexible staffing. You will collaborate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement and coordinate patient care while maintaining safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
• Must have at least: two (2) year full time equivalent Acute Care RN experience

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, plan, implement and coordinate patient care with the team.
• Maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Respond to Code Blue and initiate protocol and cardiac monitoring.
• Manage patient flow including screening, prep for exams, general nursing care, testing and admissions.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
• Handle incoming calls and triage when needed.
