Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in South Carolina is seeking an experienced RN Float Pool to support Med Surg and ICU units across Trident Medical Center and Summerville Medical Center. You will provide compassionate, patient-centered care as you float between campuses.

The role requires an active RN license, an Associate degree, and BCLS certification within 30 days. You will be responsible for coordinating care, ensuring safety, and partnering with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BCLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Float between Trident Medical Center and Summerville Medical Center.
• Maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Understand ICU vent management and respond to Code Blue when needed.
• Manage patient flow including screening, exam prep, and admissions.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records including tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Check rooms daily for supplies and readiness.
• Answer and triage incoming calls as needed.
