Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of inpatient RN experience.
• Current Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois or eligible for licensure.
• ACLS within 1 year and BLS within 30 days are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains accurate documentation of nursing care for the healthcare team.
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops plan of care based on patient and family needs.
• Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
• Modifies plan of care to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Communicates with others to resolve issues as needed.
• Provides feedback to help peers’ professional development.
• Identifies learning needs and pursues appropriate solutions.
• Completes departmental competencies.
• Floats to various inpatient units (Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, ICU).</83>
• Provides direct nursing care and collaborates with multidiscipline team.
