Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of RN inpatient experience.
• Licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) in IL per IDFPR.
• ACLS within 1 year - American Heart Association.
• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association.
• Education: Associate’s Degree; HS Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure integration of information for use by the healthcare team.
• Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
• Modifies plan of care based on safety and incidents.
• Communicates with others to resolve issues.
• Provides feedback to support professional development of peers.
• Identifies learning needs and initiates solutions.
• Fulfills departmental competencies.
• Floats to various inpatient units including MS, Oncology, Orthopedic, ACC, and ICUs.
• Unit Nurse Leader Training as needed.
• Provides direct nursing care and collaborates with multidisciplinary team.
• Documents assessments, diagnoses, plans, implementations and evaluations.
• Precepts staff from various units.
• Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team.
