MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team and work across multiple units within the organization. This 36-hour position features three 12-hour day shifts (6:45am - 7:15pm) and weekend/holiday rotation, with generous float pool differentials.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, collaborate with disciplines, educate patients and families, and delegate tasks to staff while potentially precepting students and new hires.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• At least 1 year of RN experience, REQUIRED.
• Willingness to cross-train to many departments and achieve multiple competencies.

Responsabilités

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
• Educates patient and family appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Effectively delegates care to ancillary personnel; may precept students and new hires.
