MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool Team. This 36-hour-per-week role involves three 12-hour day shifts (6:45am - 7:15pm) across units, with weekend and holiday rotation to support service excellence.

The position emphasizes patient care planning, monitoring, cross-disciplinary collaboration, education for patients and families, and potential precepting of students and new hires within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion.
• At least 1 year of RN experience, strongly preferred.
• Charge RN experience, or willingness to train to Charge RN duties, preferred.
• Willingness to cross-train to many departments and achieve multiple competencies.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

The Opportunity: MaineGeneral Health is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool Team, with the opportunity to work on various nursing units across the organization. This position is 36 hours, with three 12 hour shifts per week on the day shift (6:45am - 7:15pm), and carries generous float pool differentials. This position requires weekend and holiday rotation.

The Work:

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
