Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse to coordinate patient care across units. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment while ensuring safety and quality outcomes.

You will respond to emergencies, manage patient flow, and educate patients and families about medications and care plans. Requires active RN license and BLS certification, with at least two years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (ADN or higher).
• RN license in the practicing state or active Compact/Multi-State license.
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) Health Care Provider certification.
• At least two years of full-time Acute Care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Respond to Code Blue and initiate protocol and cardiac monitoring.
• Manage patient flow: screening, exam prep, general nursing care, admissions/testing.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records with tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
• Answer calls and provide triage when needed.
