Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse in Moncks Corner, SC to collaborate with the health care team and provide high-quality nursing care across units. You will assess, plan, implement, and coordinate treatments while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

You will respond to Code Blue emergencies, manage patient flow, educate patients and families on medications, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
• Must have at least: two (2) year full time equivalent Acute Care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients.
• Respond to Code Blue within the facility and initiate protocol, special procedures and cardiac monitoring.
• Manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
• Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
• Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed).
