Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Float Pool Patient Care Technician to support a collaborative nursing team and assist registered nurses in delivering compassionate patient care. You will help with vital signs, mobility, personal care, and safe care plans, while maintaining clean patient areas and proper supplies.

Requirements include 1 year of CNA or PCT hospital experience, CNA certification preferred, and BLS within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• 1 year CNA or PCT experience in a hospital setting required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
