Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our collaborative nursing team as part of a float pool PRN opportunity. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, vital signs, mobility, and daily patient needs in a 350-bed hospital in Augusta, GA.

You will help monitor conditions, follow care plans, and contribute to a safe, supportive environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Solid nursing support experience in a hospital setting is required or preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
