Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our Med/Surg Float-Hosp team in Mesa, AZ. This full-time, day shift role provides nursing support across multiple facility teams and works three 12-hour shifts per week.

Expect weekend and holiday rotation with a $1/hour weekend differential and an 18% night differential when applicable. You will assist with activities of daily living, data collection, and patient transport while maintaining high standards of patient care

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the patient plan of care.
• Collect patient data and document in medical records; assist with supplying needs and transportation of specimens.
• Assist with basic procedures and ensure supplies and equipment are available and in working order.
• Support reception/clerical duties and help maintain department communications.
• Assist with patient transport, room turnover, and overall unit operations.
