Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital is seeking a Nurse Care Assistant in the Float Pool to support diverse departments within the system. You will coordinate with caregivers to create a welcoming, healing environment for patients. The role offers a day/night rotation from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

or 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. and requires a High School Diploma or GED plus BLS certification. Nursing students may qualify with rotations or BLS in advance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or must obtain during the new hire period.
• Nursing students: BLS through AHA prior to hire.
• Nursing students who have completed a clinical rotation may substitute the rotation for the required experience.
• Military experience as HM, Combat Medic or Medical Service Technician will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision (vital signs, ADLs, transfers, monitoring).
• Report abnormal findings or changes to an RN.
• Help keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
