Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO seeks a Float Pool Nurse Technician-NT for 12-hour Night shifts on a part-time basis, 12 hrs/week. You will assist in individualized patient care under RN/LPN direction and perform clinical and support tasks to ensure quality care.

The role requires enrollment in a nursing program, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification within one month of hire; preferred CNA/EMT/AUA/CPCT certifications are noted. Benefits apply for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and enrollment in an approved nursing program; must provide transcripts showing Fundamentals of Nursing completion.
• Provide competency skills list from the nursing school and stay in good standing while in the nurse tech role.
• This program is for nursing students only; if a student leaves the program they can no longer be a nurse tech.
• BLS certification must be obtained within one month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks essential to patient care.
• Work cooperatively with the Float Pool team to support patient goals.
