Job summary

Labcorp in Norman, OK seeks a Float Phlebotomist to cover sites in Norman/OKC and surrounding areas. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, ensure accurate data entry, and support billing procedures while delivering exceptional patient service.

The role offers travel between clinics with flexibility to cover overtime and weekends as needed, contributing to Labcorp’s patient-centered diagnostics network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital environment.
• 1+ years experience assisting patients across ages (pediatric to geriatric).
• Current or prior LabCorp experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel to Norman/Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.
• Be 21 years or older.
• Flexibility to work overtime.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for tests including drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform clinical/clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to client and PSC locations.
