Job summary

Labcorp in Clinton Township, Michigan is seeking a Phlebotomist – Float to join our team.

You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, collect specimens for tests, enter data accurately, and provide exceptional patient service. Travel to additional sites within Macomb County as needed is required.

A high school diploma or GED, 1 year of phlebotomy experience, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
