Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute or 6 months phlebotomy experience.
• 6 months' experience in a high-volume phlebotomy environment (~30 draws/day).
• Professional registration preferred (PBT ASCP).

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens for procedures and perform testing.
• Conduct pre-analytic tasks: sample preparation, centrifugation, decanting, distribution and packaging.
• Follow asepsis/antisepsis principles and apply QA data to improve services.
• Help train new associates or students.
