Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Johnson City, TN team. The role involves flexible coverage across locations with a Monday–Friday schedule and varied hours from 5:30am to 5:30pm, performing venipuncture, specimen handling, and patient support.

You will collect samples for drug screens and other tests, enter data accurately, process billing, and maintain logs. The position emphasizes customer service and teamwork while offering growth opportunities within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
