Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float Casual to join our team in Tucson, AZ and surrounding areas. This casual/PRN position has hours that vary from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and involves travel to additional sites as needed.

The role requires blood collection via venipuncture and capillary techniques, as well as data entry, billing, and delivering excellent patient service. Prior Labcorp experience and pediatric phlebotomy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Current or prior Labcorp experience.
• Experience drawing on pediatrics.
• Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to travel to additional sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain logs of patient and specimen information.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
