Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison for patients, outside referring physicians, faculty, and residents/fellows
• Assist patients in accessing and coordinating surgical service within the health system
• Facilitate communication with referring physicians
• Refer patients to resources and provide follow-up through telephone and EPIC/Care Connect
• Manage a high volume of patient messages from multiple channels
• Assist with patient check-in and cash collection
• Travel between West LA, Santa Monica and Westwood locations as needed
• Position starts in the Santa Monica location while awaiting West L.A opening

Major duties include but are not limited to:

• Acting as a liaison for the patients, outside referring physicians, faculty, and residents/fellows in the practice.
• Assisting patients in accessing and coordinating surgical service within the health system.
• Facilitating communication with referring physicians.
• Referring patients to appropriate resources and providing follow-up through telephone and EPIC/Care Connect.
• Manage a high volume of patient messages entering via multiple avenues.
• Assist with Patient check-in and cash collection
• Travel between our West LA, Santa Monica and Westwood location as needed
• Position starts in the Santa Monica location while awaiting West L.A opening

Salary Range: $31.88 $45.66/hourly

• Comply with Department of Public Health (DPH), The Joint Commission and other accreditation and regulatory agencies standards
• Adhere to all Hospital Policies and Procedures
• Knowledge and adherence to Infection Control and Environment of Care Guidelines and Procedures as described in the annual education module
• Demonstrates adherence to the requirements for using the electronic health record

* Demonstrates understanding of institutional and department specific emergency management procedures/responsibilities to maintain personal, patient, and co-worker safety, maintains competencies in these areas, and participates in disaster/emergency related exercises and education.
