AMR in the United States seeks a Float Paramedic to join a full-time crew. The role covers shifts across Kansas and Missouri locations, with a salary range of $57,200 to $69,212 per year depending on experience.

Responsibilities include leading scenes, providing advanced medical care with EMS equipment, driving the ambulance on 911 responses, and coordinating with health and safety teams. Requires Kansas/Missouri paramedic certifications and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
KS and MO Paramedic certifications.
State Driver’s License.
BLS and ACLS required at hire.
PALS is preferred, but not required.
Driving record compliant with policy.
Pass Physical Agility Test.

Responsibilities

Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction and IV fluids.
Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance that care is being given.
Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Work collaboratively with allied health, public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and build relations.
